HFS celebrate exceptional GCSE results

Press Release picture

Hot on the heels of the incredible success of our A-level students last week, this morning our Year 11 students have been celebrating their hard work and determination with the reward of exceptional GCSE results.

An incredible 88% of students attained a grade 4 or above in English language, compared to a national average of 66% for girls.  82% of students attained a grade 4 or above in mathematics, compared to a national average of 57% for girls.

Demonstrating both the academic rigour and creative breadth of our curriculum, 100% of students attained grades 4 and above in biology, chemistry, physics, art and music.

The school is very proud of all of our Year 11 students and is particularly pleased that over a third of all grades were awarded the top grades of a 7, 8 or 9.  Demonstrating our students’ commitment to their academic success, 21 students attained all grade 7s or above, with Kiara, Laura, Daisy, Abby and Jouwaria collecting a clean sweep of grade 9s across all of their subjects.

We look forward to welcoming students into our sixth form next academic year and wish all of our students the very best of luck with the next steps of their educational journey.
