Italla Warburton

In 2022 I attended a few school governor sessions where Chairs from various schools in Islington extended an invitation to become a school governor.

Following an interview I was honoured to be asked to become a governor at Highbury Fields. I have over 15 years’ experience working with the Islington community as an Islington Council staff member.

As someone who also attended and girls’ secondary school in inner London I’m aware of the challenges faced by girls in education and I’m committed and passionate about them fulfilling their potential.

I am hoping that my experience and knowledge in the finance, children’s services and HR areas will aid in supporting the school generally to continue with the high standards it already sets.
