Careers Education Provision Year 12-13

Careers education provision years 12-13

Year 12 students are immersed in a careers programme on entry into the Highbury Fields School Sixth Form. Much of this work takes place through the Future Success programme (link here). This involves information and guidance relating to UCAS applications and personal statements, visiting professionals, finance workshops, university visits and much more.

The Future Success programme is supported by a range of extra-curricular opportunities and visits including subject visits to universities, the Gold Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, Debate Mate, work experience and volunteering opportunities and much more.

In year 12 all students take part in the sixth form work experience programme where they enjoy a week at a relevant organisation to their prospective career area and learn first hand about the careers they aspire to.
