Spring and Summer Concerts 2017

In March we saw another successful showcase of Highbury Fields’ talent with our Spring Concert. This concert really highlights the talent of our students who all undertake peripatetic music lessons or attend clubs.

The concert featured a range of styles and songs, with performances from our Year 7 cellist, Flora, as well as our usual features of the brilliant HFS choir, big band, and other musical bands. As ever, our thanks go to all the participating students across all years and all the peripatetic music teachers who work wonders with our students; Miss Lindley, Ms Lauder, Mr Henry, Mr Bee, Mr Slack, and Miss Williams!

The HFS Summer concert was another successful evening ,showcasing yet again our musical talent. We decided to focus our concert this year on the themes of ‘Love and Hope’ and were raising money on behalf of the Grenfell Tower tragedy. The concert featured some new performers from Year 7 who performed as part of the HFS Drumming club, ran by Han Bee. We also saw another debutant, Perez from Year 8, sing a breath taking version of Jorja Smith’s song, ‘Beautiful little fools’. As ever, Mr Henry and the HFS Big Band concluded the evening. Our thanks goes to all the peripatetic music teachers who have really developed the musical talent at our school this year.

We look forward, already, to the Winter Concert!
