A Level Results 2016

The students and staff of Highbury Fields Sixth Form are today celebrating some truly exceptional A level results. With 89% of all entries being awarded an A*-C grade and 60% an A*-B, these incredible results continue the sustained success of Highbury Fields’ flourishing and academic sixth form.

Over a third of all results (35%) were at A* or A grade meaning that Highbury Fields Sixth Formers will continue their higher education at some of the most distinguished universities in the country.

Two of the school’s highest achievers are Safae and Nazli, both of whom attained A*AA grades. Safae will now read history at UCL and Nazli mathematics at Bristol, having turned down an offer of a place at Cambridge.

Headteacher , Ms Gladys Berry, said, ‘exceptional as these results are, they do not come as a surprise to me. The school’s A level results have improved year on year for the last five years and the maturity and determination with which Year 13 tackled their examinations, combined with the excellent teaching that they received, meant that their success was always assured.  We are so proud of all of our Year 13 students and would like to wish them every success in what will doubtless be a very bright future for them.”
