Healthy Eating

At Highbury Fields School we recognise the importance of a healthy lifestyle and diet. We understand the link between establishing a balanced diet and life-long healthy eating habits. We also recognise that there is a strong link between a healthy diet and effective learning.

Our school aims to influence and improve the health of the whole school community by providing pupils and their families with ways to maintain healthy eating habits that benefit both themselves and the environment. This will be accomplished by providing high quality food education and ensuring that we deliver a consistent message about healthy lifestyles, throughout each school day.

Healthy Eating Cookery Club is held each Thursday from 3:30-5:00pm and is a chance for students to come along and learn healthy and tasty recipes. Students can sign up to Healthy Eating Cookery Club by seeing Ms Joseph one week in advance. Students will be given a recipe sheet and shopping list for the session attended.
